This beetle in the photo above we call Christmas Beetles here in eastern Australia, they appear during the month of December and come out during the evenings tapping against our windows trying to get in to the lights, so, do these beetles appear in Berlin during the early months of summer in which case they then could not be called Christmas Beetles?
Christmas Beetles, what a nice name for this kind of beetles, Michael. :) At the beginning of summer we don't think at Christmas. It is too hot for that! In Germany we don't have insects in December, because it is too cold.
